Bethany Lutheran Church (Wisconsin Lutheran Synod, WELS) was first started in 1974. Located in the North Hills of Pittsburgh (Hampton Township) Bethany Lutheran Church seeks to serve and worship God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, through the power of faith and love given through the Holy Spirit. We seek to create a welcoming environment paired with a loving outreach ministry. By creating many programs for people of all ages, we help our members come together in faith and in everyday life. We are committed to a common calling—encouraging each other in our faith and sharing God's gift of a Savior with the rest of the world. Bethany's mission is to spread God's love within the immediate community and beyond.
We accept the entire Bible as the error-free Word of God, a position that impacts everything from beliefs about Jesus to stances on social issues. As Christians, the values we hold dear are not simply traditional values that have stood the test of time. Rather, the values that we defend are biblical values. We hold to them because these are truths that God himself has revealed to us. We seek to enact community outreach programs demonstrating the love of our Lord and Savior. By doing this, we effectively aid our members and community just as we are taught to do in the scriptures.
Bethany seeks to provide a sanctuary for growth so that members gain a deeper intimacy with God and a stronger relationship with each other. Bethany's members and called workers are here for you in times of joy and times of sorrow. Come and experience God's love with us and allow Bethany to welcome you into our loving community.
